Some people aren't sure if they live in the City or the County of Sacramento. If you're not sure, here's the easiest way to tell:<br /><br />- If the street signs in your neighborhood are GREEN, you're in the City.<br />- If the street signs in your neighborhood are WHITE, you're in the County.<br /><br />But if you don't feel like getting out of your chair to go look at the street signs, you can also check on-line. <br /><br />- Go to the City of Sacramento's website at <a href="http://www.cityofsacramento.org/council/index.html">http://www.cityofsacramento.org/council/index.html</a> <br />- At the top of the page, enter your address in the blank where it says "To find your Council member, enter your address." <br />- Then click the button that reads "Find my council district." <br />- If the site finds your City Council member, then you're in the City. To qualify customers, we use income guidelines published by the federal government. They depend on how many people live in your household. Whether you call us or apply online, please be prepared to tell us the total income of everyone in your household.
